The Volta OS

At the heart of our support is the Volta OS, a comprehensive performance framework that measures startup progress across key metrics critical for building a successful business. This framework provides our resident startups with objective targets for how well they're attracting and retaining customers, and helps them adjust their strategy to achieve their goals.

Our team of experienced coaches and advisors works with our resident startups, guiding them through the framework to optimize their growth strategies, develop new skills and improve their performance.

With a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise, our team is passionate about building a vibrant startup community in Atlantic Canada and providing the resources and support that entrepreneurs need to thrive.

Our Subject Matter Expert Advisors are key to the wrap-around support Volta offers our startups following growth meetings and scoped support engagements. The list of Advisors is consistently growing to ensure we always have skilled and seasoned mentors ready to support our resident teams as they progress through the startup journey, working toward their defined milestones with utmost efficiency. We have over 50+ subject matter experts on hand who can support teams in areas such as product development, UX/UI design, product-market-fit, pricing, marketing, HR fundamentals, financial modelling, investment readiness and more. All advisors are vetted by Volta and have experience working with startups and small teams.

Our team of growth managers focuses on skill development, funding, talent and connecting startups to our community. Our growth managers work closely with our resident startups to help them build the skills they need to succeed through custom engagements with advisors, connecting them to funding opportunities, and helping them bring top talent to their teams. They also provide access to our network of mentors, investors, and other resources to assist our resident startups grow.

All resident startups are assigned a dedicated growth coach from our team of seasoned entrepreneurs and business leaders. These coaches help startups define, track, and achieve goals using market-driven KPIs as objective metrics. They provide guidance on strategies for growth and business optimization, set milestones, and identify opportunities for Volta’s Growth Managers and Advisors to provide further support.

Success Stories

Volta Cohort Company HOLLO medical reached out to Volta for support with their financial model. The team was looking to determine how much investment would be required for their upcoming round in order to meet their pending milestones.

Volta was able to match HOLLO with an advisor who worked with them to create a financial model presentation that could be included in pitch decks, determine the total sum required to raise, and examine upcoming milestone requirements for product development and headcount based on revenue projections and additional funding.

Volta Resident Company Myomar Molecular approached Volta for assistance in launching a waitlist for their product. Volta understood Myomar’s needs, and matched them with an advisor to help design multiple waitlist landing pages for various target audiences with proper analytics.

As a result of a proper site, Myomar was able to successfully their launch waitlist within their internal deadline and achieve over 400 waitlist sign-ups to demonstrate traction to investors.
